NBA Season

3 Teams to Bet On in the 2017-18 NBA Season

The season came and went, with some NBA teams making bold moves while some chose to rebuild for the future. Experts say that it is ideal to bet on the teams who are looking to challenge the Warriors next season. Here are teams who are expected to have a better record next season because of the changes they made:

Oklahoma City Thunder

Just when everyone thought Paul George was going to the Lakers, the Thunder made an unexpected move to land him. They now have an elite scorer to pair up with reigning MVP Russell Westbrook. They didn’t even surrender much as they only parted ways with Victor Oladipo and Donatas Sabonis. They also retained defensive ace, Andre Roberson. They even addressed their backup point guard needs by signing Raymond Felton to a one-year deal.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves now have their own big 3 after trading for all-star swingman Jimmy Butler. It now consists of Butler, Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns. The supporting cast isn’t too shabby either with the recent additions of Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson and Jamaal Crawford. It’s safe to say they’re back in contending for a playoff spot in the foreseeable future. Their young pieces can only mature into building blocks that will attract free agents.

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs only made one addition and that’s Rudy Gay through a 2-year deal. A lot of people were saying they could have challenged the Golden State Warriors only if Kawhi Leonard didn’t go down with an injury. Therefore, they didn’t need to make significant roster upgrades. It’s also looking like Manu Ginobili is going to retire so Gay seems like a logical replacement. As long as Popovich is the coach, it’s a 60-40 probability.
